First money which had the form of coins made of silver was used by the ancient Lydian kings.

First paper money appeared in the Old China in the 1st century AD.

In the 15-16th centuries with the development of capitalism paper money spread to Europe.

Nowadays there are more than 340 kinds of national currencies.

Currency of independent Ukraine came into use since 1996. Ukrainian monetary mint prints money for 23 countries.
