Types of houses in Great Britain:

A detached house [dɪtǽʧt]- особняк, обособленно стоящий дом.

A semi-detached house [sɛmɪdɪtǽʧt]- дом, имеющий общую стену с соседним домом.

A terraced house [ˊtɛrəst]- дом ленточной застройки, стоящий в ряду одинаковых домов с общими стенами.

Block of flats- многоквартирный дом.

A castle [ka:sl]- замок.

A palace [pǽlis]- дворец.
