Eton
Eton is a very famous boys sсhool in Windsor, near London. It has educated boys for nearly six centuries. Nineteen British Prime Ministers, many writers and actors studied at Eton. It’s a very strict school with a lot of traditions and customs.
Students wear a school uniform at Eton. It is a black tailcoat, pinstriped trousers and a white shirt.
There are 35 lessons every week, each of 40 minutes, assemblies every morning from 8.35 – 8.50, games and other activities every afternoon, and tutorials in the evenings. There are about ten or twelve boys in each class.
There is a wide choice of subjects to study: English, English Literature,French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Latin, Greek, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, history, geography, music, art, design, PE, ICT and drama.
On 4th June, Eton celebrates the birth of King George III, Eton's greatest patron. There are cricket matches and a boat procession. What fun!
