ПРЕЗЕНТАЦІЯ OUR FOOD

Proverb Eat a pleasure, drink with measure and enjoy life as it is.

We get food from animals and birds,

plants and fish.

We get meat from cows, pigs and sheep.

Pork is the meat we get from pigs.

From sheep we get mutten.

From cows we get meat which is called beef.

Also we make butter and cheese.

From ducks and hens we get poultry and eggs.

We grow wheat, oats, maize and other cereals in the fields from which we make flour and the bread.

We also eat various kinds of vegetables, fruits and berries.

We eat potatoes, cabbages, cauliflower, beetroot, carrots, onions, tomatoes, radishes and cucumbers.

Many adults and especially children like apples, pears, apricots, peaches, bananas and oranges.

In our gardens numerous kinds of berries are grown: strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, black, red and white currant.

We eat many kinds of fish. Fishes live in the seas and rivers. And we can eat both salt-water fish and fresh-water fish.

How do we cook meat or fish? We can boil, fry or roast it.

We drink tea, coffee, cocoa, milk and water.

Answer the questions: What animals do we get food from? What do we get from cows? What can we get from ducks and hens? What do we make from cereals?

What else do we eat besides milk and cereals? What kinds of vegetables, fruits and berries do you know? How do we cook meat and fish? What do we like to drink?
