Ohio is located in the Midwestern United States , and is to the north -east central U.S. states . Ohio is bordered by Canada to the north , with the states of Pennsylvania in the East , West Virginia to the southeast , Kentucky to the south, in the west of Indiana , and Michigan to the north- west.

For Ohio State has a temperate climate with hot summers and cold winters .

Ohio has a very well developed and diversified economy and consistently ranks among the top ten U.S. states in terms of gross domestic product. If Ohio was an independent state, it would have held the twentieth place in the list of the richest countries in the world.
